Urban & Rural Industrial Decay of Alaska

Based out of Fairbanks, Alaska, I specialize in capturing the forgotten remnants of Alaskan history. Focusing on the equipment and decaying places that define the Alaskan Gold Rush from the turn of the 20th century till World War II, the dredges, mines and ghost towns of Alaska act as a second home to me. Exploring them and recording what remains - from the rusting hulk of stamp mill equipment to the smallest shred of paper - gives insight into the lives of those that made the wilderness of Interior Alaska home. Their good fortune and individualized struggle is worth remembering - as each photograph preserves a slice of their life.

3 series - Living Light, Mining Aberrations and Polaris represent some of my more recent photography work.
